The Piglet Project is founded on the principle of sustainable development, emphasizing
the importance of self-reliance and empowerment within communities.

• A female piglet is given to the poorest families in Amatitan, Nicaragua. The males are kept on a farm by our Director, Heyra Ramirez. With the first litter they must give one piglet to another family.

•This is a sustainable project that has given families, nutritious food, a means to make money, and a sense of community with many pigs running around the village!

This initiative helps families break the cycle of poverty, improve food security, and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
